CREATIVITY IS
REALLY GOOD FOR YOU! (really!)
Welcome to The Burgundy Owl
Hello! I'm Lee!
So glad you're here!
Research is now proving that incorporating a creative activity into your routine can significantly enhance your well-being. Creativity is not just a hobby; it’s a powerful tool for improving mental health, maintaining brain health, and fostering community connections!
For as long as I can remember I have been a Caregiver, taking care of everyone and everything UNTIL I couldn't - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Diagnosis: severe burnout from caregiving, work, and life in general. I was a raging mess!
Through intensive Therapy & my discovery of Creative Well-being, I began to see the light at the end of a very dark tunnel. I left my job & went back to school for certifications in Mindful Photography, Expressive & Therapeutic Arts & my whole world changed for the better!
I started The Burgundy Owl in 2022 as a place for creative
well-being where engaging in simple creative activities that require minimal supplies & time can have a positive impact on your mental, physical & emotional health.
No creative experience needed!
As a Creative Well-Being Educator I can attest firsthand how creativity is really (really) GOOD for you! Really!!
To me creativity is an essential wellness practice & I'm excited to help YOU discover the joy & benefits of getting your creative on for your OWN well-being!

The Creative Care Community provides a nurturing and supportive environment where you can prioritize self-care, connect with like-minded individuals, and most importantly, reconnect with yourself!
P.S. I know that being a Caregiver is tough & exhausting. The last thing you want to do is take what valuable downtime you have out of your Caregiver role for Creative Self-Care! I get it :) I've been there. YET what I know from personal experience is that prioritizing YOURSELF & CONNECTING with others is the best gift you can give yourself so you don't feel alone & have an outlet to release all the "caregiving s@!t" you become numb to or stuff deep down into your soul! Know you matter too xo Lee
